Welcome to Christ Lutheran Church

We strive to be a vibrant, inclusive, caring, loving, praying, worshipping community that lives out God’s unearned love and favour in what we say and do. Come and be a part of the family!

June is National Indigenous History Month – a time to honour the histories, cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in Canada. June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day and 2026 will mark the 30th anniversary of the celebration.

This month, we take time to reflect on reconciliation and commit to truth, justice and healing. We are invited to learn from Indigenous voices – through books, films, conversations and events. Attend a National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on or around Sunday, June 21, visit a local friendship centre, or explore whose land you live on and the treaties that shape it. This month, let us listen, learn and walk together in respect and relationship.

Take immense pride in your hard work, dedication, and resilience that has brought you to this point. This milestone represents a massive achievement. As you step into the next chapter of your life, embrace it with an open mind. Trust your foundation and step boldly into tomorrow!

The goal of the Period Pantry is to help address period poverty – when menstruators can’t afford period products. In Canada one in three menstruators under the age of 25 and one in four over 25 experience period poverty. Ending period poverty is a collaborative effort. We hope you consider donating period products to fill the period pantry and help decrease period poverty and period stigma.
